Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share a project I just recently completed. This is my old sad, in desperate need of updating summer wreath. I have been using this wreath as my summer wreath for years and I have been looking at it for a couple of seasons now and thinking how sad it looked. The ribbon and flowers were faded and had mildew spots on them. I kept thinking what a shame it was that someone who did "crafty" things actually had such a sad wreath displayed on the wall of their front porch sooooooooo.......
I decided to revamp my old wreath and make myself a pretty spring wreath. I tore everything off of the old wreath and threw everything away except for the nests and the blackbirds. I painted the black birds with two coats of gesso. Let that dry and then painted them with one coat of rose acrylic paint and after that was dry, I painted on a thick layer of white glue and the dusted them with diamond dust. After using hot glue to attach all of the flowers, ferns, grass, nest, birds and wiring on a bow - Voila! I had myself a new spring wreath. I'm very happy with the outcome.
This layout is of my Son, Daughter-in-law and 3 of my grand children leaving their first home in Missouri and on to South Carolina for a new chapter in their lives. My son has just been accepted into a Marine Biology Masters program and they are so excited! The products that I used: Aldi Creative PL Paper and embellishment Pack "Amelie", sewing machine, white gel pen, rhinestones, and trim from my stash, 
I created this card for my mother this year for her birthday on the 15th of December. The products I used: Cuttlebug Chicken Wire embossing folder, Close to My heart Stamp set from the Artiste Collection, Fiskars small 6 petal flower punch, spellbinders cherry blossom die, pearl rhinestones, cotton yarn, sizzix Susan's Garden Daisy die for the leaves.
This is the birthday card that I created for my grandson Flynn for his 6th birthday. He was having a Pirate Themed Birthday party. The products that I used: Authentique "Strong" Collection of Papers, hand pieced pirate with circle punches, scallp svg cut file from fayeray99 etsy shop, svg waves cut files from svgcuts, baker's twine, Happy 6th Birthday created and printed in Word. Wood grain embossing folder by sizzix.
This layout is of my daughter-in-law and my beautiful granddaughter Suri. I love this photo because they looked so happy together and I also love black and white photos - they always look so elegant.
