I just finished this art Journal page titled "Love Note". This is another entry for the Dina Monthly Facebook challenge (to do something with a watercolor look) in my large Dina Wakley journal on one of the cotton rag pages. I primed it with white gesso. I then watered down some Dina Wakley paints (Lemon, Lime, Eggplant) and added them to the page. Then I added some stenciling with various stencils using the same paints but not watered down. I did a bit of random stamping in black archival ink. The word love is from a die set from Elizabeth craft designs "Sentiments 2 Just Because" and the word love was stamped on white cardstock and fussy cut out (not sure where these stamps are from) The tag was a clothing tag that I did the same crylic paint process to and then stamped one of the faces from the Dina Wakley "Words in Faces" stamp set with black acrylic paint. Last I added some gold leaf hearts one to the tag and one to the background.

My art journal entry for the November Dina Wakley Facebook challenge.
My entry for the Dina Wakley Facebook November challenge to use your favorite Dina products. The background on this page started off with leftovers pressed onto the background from the Dina "Viney" and "Spaced Dots" stencils from another project. I added some more circles with the Dina Scribbly Circles stamp set. I used torn pieces of old gelli plate papers, a honeycomb diecut using Tim Holtz mixed media die and some leftover pieces of burlap. The bee was colored with my scribble sticks.

My teabag art for today - another abstract made using Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks
My teabag art for today. I wasn't really able to get a good image on this one. It has silver embossing powder and silver metallic rub ons added but one image looks dull and pewter-like and the other has too much reflection.
This was a used teabag unprimed and the background was made with Dina Wakley scribble sticks - once dry I added strips of patterned tissue paper with matte medium and dried this. I then dyed some muslin fabric circles with scribble sticks and applied with gel medium. These were outlined with night scribble stick and Stabilo all pencil and activated with water. I stamped some circles with versamark ink pad and Dina Wakley scribbly circles background stamp and applied silver embossing powder and heat set. Then I rubbed on some silver metallic rub ons in and around the circles. I added a bit of doodling with posca pens.

My teabag art for today is an Abstract on a used teabag
My teabag art for today is another Abstract. This was a used teabag primed with white gesso. I used several coats of Dina Wakley black and cheddar scribble sticks as watercolor on the background until I got the intensity I wanted. When it was dry I stenciled in the background through a Donna Downey script stencil with black and white acrylic then stamped "Happiness, Long Life, Love" from an asian Stamp set I have using versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder and then added gold embossing powder circles around them. I then added gold metallic thread with gold seed beads in the Love circle.

Another Completed Art Journal page: Fashions Fade, Style is Eternal
Another art journal page completed in my Dina Wakley Journal on the Burlap page. I stitched the title with thin cotton yarn. The background was done with scribble sticks.
My paper doll was drawn by referencing Jane Davenport's Fabulous Figures Book. I colored the paper doll by using the scribble sticks as watercolor. The clothes were cut out of patterned paper and striped vellum. I attached the purse with a bit of chain and 2 jump rings and her necklace are seed beads on thread.
The tag and arrows were created on my Ranger Gel press plate using acrylic paints and stencils.

Art Journal page using Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks
This Art journal page started with some decoupage (using matte medium) of some scrapbook papers. My lady was scribbled with Dina Wakley scribble sticks and then they were activated with water. I added cheddar, umber and blushing and then redefined her face with the black scribble stick. I stamped my sentiment with black ink but it didn't show up so I went over it with my white posca pen.

My teabag art for the day, Entry into the Dina Wakley, Ranger Ink May Challenge - #showusyourmedia #rangerink #timholtz
This is my teabag art for today - it is my entry into the May challenge #showusyourmedia for Dina Wakley and Ranger Ink - where you have been or where you want to go.
This is two teabags with a cotton ball in between (glued together with Dina Wakley gel medium. I glued on a faucet handle, buttons and a butterfly, used Dina Wakley lime heavy body acrylic paint, aztec gold mica powder, water and hair spray in a mini mister to give me the gold shimmering lime green background. I added some Collections elements tissue paper with Matte Medium - sewed around the cotton ball on my machine with black thread, did some texture with DecoArt stencil 201506 and Tim Holtz black distress ink and with Ranger Black archival ink I stamped another circle of stitching around the cotton ball (this stamp came from Ali Express).
To finish it off I stitched some DMC floss up through the cotton ball and added a blue/black bead to the end. My title was typed on my manual typewriter.
