My teabag art for today - The eyes have it - painted on a used teabag with watercolor and gouache

My teabag art for the day.  This was a used teabag and I wanted the tea stain to show through so I primed it with clear gesso.  It was painted with ShinHan watercolors and gouache and I added lashes with a black permanent ink pen and white gel pen.  I referenced Jane Davenport's Beautiful faces book to try to get the eyes just right.

"Whoops-A-Daisy" pen and ink watercolor

This pen and ink with watercolor was inspired by a counted cross stitch I did 15 years ago.  I've always loved it because it was so bright and cheerful all done in shades of blue and yellow.  I decided to try to draw it and paint in watercolor.
