My teabag art for today. Flowers on a used teabag

My teabag art for today.  This teabag was already pink from the type of tea.  I left it unprimed - painted the flowers with watercolor and added details with Prisma watercolor pencils.  Stenciled the background with black soot distress ink then added details with permanent black ink pen and white gel pen.

My teabag art for today - this is more a Mixed Media piece - Dragonfly and flower

My teabag art for today.  This was an unused teabag with one coat of gesso.  I painted everything with watercolor, outlined with black permanent ink pen and added white highlights with my white gel pen.  I made a wrapped flower out of wire and left tails so that I could push it through to the back and fold the ends back to hold it in place - I then glued a circle that I punched out over the ends of the wire in the back.

Art journal page "Believing the impossible is possible" in Dina Wakley Journal

Art journal page just completed in my Dina Wakley journal.  The background was paint that had seeped through from the journal page on the front.  I cut out a banner from Kraft paper using Sizzix Framelits Banner 3 die.  The background pieces on the banner were bits of prints from my gelli plate.  The Fairy stamp was from Pasttime Crafts and was stamped with Black archival ink.  The banner top left corner was stamped with Recollections banner stamp set and attached to a piece of burlap that I pulled from the edge.  I also used We R memory keepers tab punch, Spellbinders scallp circle die, lime twine, black thread, button, lace and loose burlap threads and twine.

My teabag art for today - Peanut anyone? Whimsical elephant and mouse watercolor and gouache

My teabag art for the day.  This one makes me laugh!  "Peanut anyone?"
This was a used teabag that was primed with one coat of white gesso.  The teabag tag was missing so I stamped out 3 banners and attached them to the string.  It was painted with ShinHan Watercolors and gouache.  Outlines done with black permanent ink pen.

My Teabag art for today - Bamboo painted in watercolor on a Used Tea bag

My teabag art for the day.  I put one coat of white gesso on this used teabag and several coats on the teabag tag.  I had found another clothing label - this one came off of something in the wash (I'm going to have to start looking at the clothing labels on everything I pull out to wear, LOL!!)  I painted the bamboo in ShinHan watercolors and then painted the bamboo leaves on the tag and stapled the clothing label to the bottom of the tag.

My teabag art for the day - inspired by our trip to Japan

My teabag art for today - inspired by our trip to Japan.  This was painted on an unused teabag and primed with gesso.  There is some paper piecing on this one.  After drawing the image (Used a jar cap for the circle) on the teabag, I traced the turquoise part of the image with tracing paper and then using carbon paper transferred it to patterned paper, then carefully glued those pieces in place.  The rest was painted with ShinHan watercolors and outlined with a black permanent ink pen.
