This is a layout of my beautiful Granddaughter on her 8th Birthday. I used leftover Cocoa Vanilla Bohemian Dreamer emphimera, chipboard and stickers with a paper pad I bought at Aldi from Creative PL since I no longer had and of the Bohemian Dreamer paper left. I used punches for the leaves and small flowers, a fiskars punch for the "spiral notebook" punched edges and Baker's twine, enamel dots and sewed leaves on the corners of the page with my sewing machine.

My teabag art for today. This was a used teabag primed with white gesso
My teabag art for today was on a used teabag primed with one coat of white gesso. I wet the background and dropped in shades of blue and paynes gray watercolor and before it dried I sprinkled it with sea salt. I let it dry naturally and then brushed away the salt and it left these beautiful starburst effects on the teabag. It looked like a field of wildflowers to me so I added a few details with a black ink pen and white gel pen.

My teabag art for today Watercolor and doodling for some abstract flowers
My teabag art for today. This was a used berry blend teabag so it already had a bright pink coloring. It is NOT primed with gesso - for the background I just wet the background and dropped in some watercolors in turquoise, fluorescent pink, paynes gray, and lime green.
Once it was dry I doodle the flowers, leaves and stems in black ink and then added white gel pen and posca pen accents.

To reach new heights... art journal page done in my dina Wakley Journal on a Kraft page - I love how the colors pop on the Kraft paper. Products used:
DW Journal
DW night and lime green acrylics
White gesso
Spice Marmalade oxide inks
Stencils
DW scribble sticks in Cheddar, night and lime as watercolor
Bird die cuts from my Silhouette Cameo
twine died with cheddar scribble stick
Foam tape
I used die cut birds as masks and applied the night paint over them so that when I glued down my birds with foam tape they would have a shadow around them.

My teabag art for today is a Country Cottage in Cornwall in the UK
My teabag art for today on a used teabag. This is a country cottage that we saw in Cornwall in the UK. I loved the look of it because although it had been originally white, it had weathered with all of these beautiful colors appearing. This was primed with clear gesso and painted with watercolor and gouache and details added with black permanent ink pen and white gel pen.

My teabag art for today is an African inspired piece.
My teabag art for today. A Mixed media African inspired teabag. This was a used tebag primed with clear gesso. I used scribble sticks for the background and then added distress oxides through a stencil. The animal skin bits and the leopard head were parts of a napkin added with Matte Medium. I then sewed on bits of thread and burlap pieces.

My teabag art today - a tribute to the Toronto Blue Jays and my son their biggest fan
My teabag art for today is dedicated to my son (he has to be the Blue Jays biggest fan since about the age of 7 after he started playing baseball) This is a tribute to the Toronto Blue Jays (don't ask me how a Virginia born boy ended up a fan of a Toronto team - he says he thinks it was originally their colors but became much more than that with time). This was painted on a used teabag, primed with white gesso andwatercolor, drywall tape, yarn and cheesecloth added. Figure drawn and painted on watercolor paper and then fussy cut and glued to the front.

My teabag art for today - Porta Salvo on the Amalfi coast of Italy
My teabag art for today - this one is Porta Salvo on the Amalfi Coast. Another lovely spot. This one was really hard to paint. Even with one coat of gesso (white or clear) the color of the teabag tends to bleed through and this pink one was really hard to cover. I used clear gesso but probably should have used white. Painted with watercolor and gouache and details added with a black permanent ink pen.

My teabag art for the day - Little girl and her donkey in Morocco

Very common beast of burden in Morocco. This was a used teabag, primed with clear gesso and painted with watercolor and gouache. Details added with a black ink pen.
