My teabag art for today is a crow (very abundant and quite annoying in our area - they sit right outside the window and squawk for hours on end). I do love the myriad of colors you can see reflecting off of their shiny black feathers, though, which is what prompted this painting. This was an unused teabag primed with clear gesso. It was painted with watercolor and details added with prisma watercolor pencils.

My teabag art for today was inspired by a Facebook post made by a friend
My teabag art for today. One of my friends posted this photo on his facebook page and when I saw it I just thought it was so darn cute and funny I had to try to paint it. This was an unused teabag primed with clear gesso and painted with watercolor and gouache. Details added with black ink pen and prisma watercolor pencils.

My teabag art for the day is a tribute to the American Indians
My teabag art for today. This was a used teabag primed with clear gesso and the background was stamped with black archival ink. It was painted with watercolor and gouache. Details added with black permanent ink pen and prisma watercolor pencils. One feather was painted and I added three real feathers that I cut down to size and wrapped black embroidery floss around the ends.

Art Journal page for Feb 2019 Dina Wakley Facebook challenge "Love your Lettering"
This is my entry to the Feb 2019 Dina Wakley "Love your lettering" Challenge on Facebook. I used Dina "Abstract figures", and Scribbly Circles stamp sets. I used scribble sticks as watercolor and on the scribbly circles stamp for stamping. I wrote along the edges of the figures and wrote my title. The design was done on a piece of tracing paper and attached to the journal page.

My teabag art for today.
My teabag art for today. Followed along with a video by Laurel Hart for this one - I love her watercolors but the technique doesn't work as well on a teabag! I like how it turned out anyway! This was an unused teabag primed with clear gesso and painted with watercolors. Black ink pen details added to horses.

SOLD!! This was a commissioned piece of Weaver Birds building a nest
This was a commissioned piece done for a friend that was watching our exploits in Africa. I did not have a reference photo for this piece so I looked at some images on the internet and looked at the video I took of them building their nests. This was done with Shinhan Watercolors and a fountain pen with black permanent ink.
