My teabag art for today is a piece of mixed media
My teabag art for today. This was a used teabag unprimed and painted with watercolor. I embroidered some flowers with lilac DMC thread with irridescent sequins and pearl bead centers. I stitched the word "Create" on my sewing machine on muslin, added some lilac cotton crochet yarn, a piece of green thread and half of a butterfly from a napkin that had been glued to some muslin with gel medium.

My teabag art for today is an eye on a used teabag
My teabag art for today. The beginnings of this was a stamp by Carabelle-studio SMI0126. It was stamped with archival ink on a used teabag that was primed with white gesso and then I colored it using Polychromo pencils. I added gold gel pen on the stars and details added with white posca pen and black permanent ink pen.

Watercolor of the Japanese cherry blossom trees
I finished a watercolor today that was inspired by a trip we took to Japan. The Cherry Blossom trees were in bloom and were reflected in a lake. It was such a stunning display. This painting is for sale and details can be found on my Facebook page DKJartoriginals

My teabag art for today - mixed media bird on a used teabag
My teabag art for today. This was a used teabag primed with clear gesso. The background was created with Dina Wakley scribble sticks in browns and greens and cheddar. When dry I lightly stamped text in the background with Tim Holtz archival ink. I cut out the birds on branches on my silhouette cameo in brown cardstock and applied that. Then I made a little grouping of a small envelope with tag and applied a hexagon, moss, raffia, branch, and bird. The word was a clear sticker applied to white cardstock.

My teabag art for today is a used teabag primed with clear gesso - the highlight a crossed stitched computer with mouse
My teabag art for today. I cross stitched a computer and mouse, note, coffee cup and doughnut on perforated paper. I primed the background of the teabag with clear gesso then applied torn pieces of a gelli print to the background with matte medium, added a piece of netting that came off of a bag of fruit and a leftover piece of jute, stitched the text on my sewing machine on muslin and applied all to the bag with gel medium. I have a youtube video on how it came together and a link to a cross stitch chart I made to stitch the small image. Video and link to cross stitch chart

My teabag art for today - another abstract made using Dina Wakley Scribble Sticks
My teabag art for today. I wasn't really able to get a good image on this one. It has silver embossing powder and silver metallic rub ons added but one image looks dull and pewter-like and the other has too much reflection.
This was a used teabag unprimed and the background was made with Dina Wakley scribble sticks - once dry I added strips of patterned tissue paper with matte medium and dried this. I then dyed some muslin fabric circles with scribble sticks and applied with gel medium. These were outlined with night scribble stick and Stabilo all pencil and activated with water. I stamped some circles with versamark ink pad and Dina Wakley scribbly circles background stamp and applied silver embossing powder and heat set. Then I rubbed on some silver metallic rub ons in and around the circles. I added a bit of doodling with posca pens.

My teabag art for today is an Abstract on a used teabag
My teabag art for today is another Abstract. This was a used teabag primed with white gesso. I used several coats of Dina Wakley black and cheddar scribble sticks as watercolor on the background until I got the intensity I wanted. When it was dry I stenciled in the background through a Donna Downey script stencil with black and white acrylic then stamped "Happiness, Long Life, Love" from an asian Stamp set I have using versamark ink and embossed with gold embossing powder and then added gold embossing powder circles around them. I then added gold metallic thread with gold seed beads in the Love circle.
