"Let's put a smile on their faces..." for the Abstract Art challenge at scrapki-wyzwaniowo.blogspot.com.au

Hi Everyone, I've completed another layout for a challenge that I heard about on the following blog:
scrapki-wyzwaniowo.blogspot.com.  You can find the details for their challenge here.

I absolutely loved this challenge.  I don't tend to lean toward the abstract so this was definitely out of my comfort zone and I so enjoyed doing this layout and was really happy with the way it turned out.
I loved the photo - it is of my son and my daughter-in-law dressed up for a Halloween party as the Joker and Harley Quinn.  I think my daughter-in-law did such a great job on their costumes and make-up!

The products that I used
Texture paste
Ceramcoat Colonial Blue and Empire Gold Arcylic Paints
Folk Art Tapioca Arcylic Paint
Gleams - metallic paint - Kim Gold
Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Pink Rose and Black Velvet
Dylusions Spray ink in After Midnight

"They Lift Him Up" Mixed Media Layout for entry into the Feb 2015 challenge at Scrap Around The World

This is my latest layout that I completed.  I am entering it into the Feb 2015 Scrap Around the World Challenge here.

The Mood board that they provided to give you inspiration is below:

The first thing that inspired me from this mood board was the sentiment.  It reminded me of a conversation I had with my son a short time ago.  He told me that never did he imagine that he would have four children (he was an only child).  But more than that, he never imagined how much love he would feel for each and every one of them.  He said it overwhelms him sometimes.  The second thing about the mood board that called to me was the color green.  I tend to shy away from the color green so I decided to challenge myself and use a shade of green in this layout.

The following is my layout and the products that I used:

Products:
Tim Holtz Tissue Tape
Drywall Tape
Cheesecloth
Balloon SVG from Lettering Delights (cut on my cricut)
Arrows also cut on the cricut
Prima Romance Novel Stamp Set
