"My Favorite Author"

Another Layout completed - "My favorite Author" this was taken back in 2012 when Tony Park visited the Chermside Library - I absolutely love his books and he was a treat to listen to, has some wonderful stories of his foray's into Africa, (he at that time had a home in Africa and one in Sydney - not sure if he still does) and was very friendly and gracious when I wanted to meet him and get a photo with him.  I tried to figure out how I could add the flyer to the layout for safekeeping, and even though I wasn't thrilled about folding it like I did, I ended up putting it on the back of a journal tag that slides behind the photo just so I could keep it with the layout.  (P.S - using American Spelling for my grandkids, LOL!)
The products that I used were the "This And That" collection of papers, tags, stickers (very little used - mostly just stamping)
Aldi - Mini Stamp Set for "Read More" on background
Hero Arts "Friendly Flags" stamp set for my arrows
Stamping Bella by Vicki Boutin "In so many words" stamp set
Leeza Gibbons "Wishes and Dreams" stamp set
Colorbox Liquid chalk set
Crushed Olive, Vintage photo, Wild Honey distress inks
Jet Black Archival ink
Kaszazz Chain Link stamp

Me & My Daddy - Mixed Media layout

A layout I just finished of my son and my Granddaughter Claire.  I used scraps from my stash and fussy cut some pieces including the zigzag border and the gears, some doodling with a white gel pen, A stencil with a Zig embossing pen and white embossing powder.  The lettering was done with my Sizzlits Alphabet set, and I added paint splatters with some Acrylic paint.
